Colorado State Women's Lacrosse Team Finishes Strong

The Colorado State University Women's Lacrosse team, seeded 6th, came on strong to win its third National Championship.Their incomparable grit willed them to the final round - a true reflection of team play. The team was presented yellow Finish Strong bracelets with a card quoting the Finish Strong creed.

"They rallied around those words and premise," said Chris Weatherman who helps coach the team.

The team was missing its senior All-American defender Ally Mast, who had to sit out the game after receiving two yellow cards in the semifinals game.

During the first half of the finals game, Colorado State was down 7-5. However, the team refused to let setbacks get the best of them. They pushed through during the second half, scoring six goals and bringing the final score to 11-9.
